We were fully established in January 2014, created to fill a void by providing independent IT consulting exclusively for the hospitality sector. The sector unlike most others did not have a consulting firm that could advise on delivering IT solutions without commercial influences. At Avenue9 we do not sell any hardware or software, we work with businesses to define requirements and apply the right technologies to solve business challenges and achieve business objectives. Much of this, for the first time, provides the sector with objective and independent advice on IT Strategy and systems; how to invest, how to match systems to operational requirements, how to optimise, integrate and future proof.
As part of our growth, based on unprecedented demand from hoteliers we were acquired by JLL in November 2015 to form part of their global Hotels and Hospitality team, the acquisition has enabled Avenue9 to continue on it’s global expansion.
The premise is simple, as an independent consultancy we have the ability to look at IT from a holistical and agnostic perspective; we do not actively endorse, recommend or sell any system or piece of technology but work with our clients to ensure that they have all the information needed to make the right investment. We then ensure that, whatever that investment is, it’s delivered successfully. For many years IT solutions have been looked at in isolation and therefore have created challenges for hoteliers to operate effectively, cost efficiently and in an agile way to meet the changing face of hospitality.
Our team is made up of hospitality professionals, most significantly whilst they have all vast experience in IT, they are also well versed in the wider hospitality roles such as finance, operations and revenue management. Our belief is that business systems are not the ownership of IT, they are owned by the business and facilitated by IT. Our team have over 200 combined years of experience in delivering solutions that create, enable and enhance the guest journey. We also work with senior management teams to connect their overarching business strategies to coherent IT strategies.
